Review: Deux Frères Forêt rose Distiller’s Cut (magical colour changing) Gin (Switzerland)

This wonderful gin was introduced to us by Max, a very helpful connoisseur at Globus, Geneva. As you may guess from the name, its made by two brothers in Zurich and is our first Swiss gin. There are two types (so far); the one we tried has Damascus rose.

Details: 43.7% electric blue, turns to a soft blushing rose when you add tonic.

Producer: Deux Frères, distilled in Tyrol, Austria then transported for its final maceration, hand-filled and labeled in Switzerland.

Botanicals: 25 including organic juniper berries, fresh organic lemon peels, rose petals, lavender blossoms, angelica root, curcuma root, ysopkraut and orange blossom leaves

Tasting notes: well balanced, soft, fresh and floral. True to its name, its fresh and zesty, aromatic and very easy to drink for any occasion. Firm favourite.
